NEW IN 2023

Following our 2022 season, we had a number of ideas for additions and upgrades to the camp and were busy planning and prioritizing projects. In late 2022, we were incredibly fortunate to be approved for the Tourism Diversification Program though Tourism Saskatchewan. This grant covered a portion of the upgrades and allowed us to implement a number of projects much sooner than otherwise would have been possible.

We focused on expanding activity options and upgrades that made the camp a little more comfortable and user-friendly. In order to execute the projects by our deadline, we began transporting supplies to the camp with the help of our Jeep Cherokee on tracks during the winter months. Throughout the 2023 season we completed construction and installation of a number of new buildings and systems. We hope our clients joining us in 2024 enjoy the completed upgrades!

New additions in 2023 included:

  • 4 recreational kayaks, 4 fishing kayaks, and 2 canoes.
  • New lifejackets, boat safety kits, and first aid kits.
  • A new storage shed for the kayaks and boating gear.
  • A custom cedar shower.
  • A 2-stall composting toilet facility.
  • An expanded solar system.
  • A new water pump and pressure tank that will operate off the solar system.

NEW IN 2022

2022 was our (Mark and Laura’s) first season operating Haskins Bay Fly-In after becoming the new owners in late 2021. We were excited to get to know the camp and clients better in order to get feedback on ways we could improve.

New additions for 2022 included:

  • Rebuilt and added a puck board top to the fileting table.
  • Added a new 10HP Tohatsu boat motor to the fleet.
  • Added padded boat seats.
