FLY-IN FISHING ON FLORENCE LAKE, SASKATCHEWAN
Haskins Bay Fly-In is a great choice for self-guided fishing in northern Saskatchewan.
We’re the only camp located on Florence Lake, the lake is accessible only by floatplane in the summer months, and we book only one group in camp at a time – which means you’ll have the entire lake to yourselves!
The tea-coloured waters of Florence Lake provide excellent walleye, northern pike, and yellow perch fishing. Numerous bays, islands, inlets, points, and creeks create miles of shoreline and ideal fishing conditions. While we don’t often see trophy-sized fish from Florence Lake, there is a healthy and abundant population to keep your lines tight and your bellies full.
Florence Lake straddles the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border. The camp is located on the Saskatchewan side of the border. Guests will require both Saskatchewan and Manitoba fishing licenses in order to fish the entire lake. Manitoba does not allow the use of barbed hooks when fishing in their waters.
More information on angling regulations for each province can be found here: Saskatchewan | Manitoba
Four 16’ fishing boats are provided for guest use, all of which are equipped with 9.9 HP Tohatsu motors. Padded swivel seats were added to the boats in 2022. All boating/fishing is self-guided and guests are responsible for operating the boats themselves. Please note that operators of boats will need proof of competency (such as a Pleasure Craft Operator Card) to be in compliance with Transport Canada regulations.
